Delete a ZephRead Account
Request deletion in the app or from this page. Local files on your devices are not deleted.
Before requesting deletion
Cancel any Microsoft Store subscription separately; deleting a ZephRead account does not cancel a store subscription. If you can sign in, use Account settings in ZephRead for the fastest verified request.
Request from the web
Email contact@zephread.com from the address associated with your ZephRead account with the subject “ZephRead account deletion”. Do not send your password, book files, access tokens or payment details. We will use a safe identity-verification step before accepting the request.
What happens
Cloud writes stop after acceptance. You have 7 days to cancel. After that, account-owned cloud files, library metadata, positions, highlights, notes and authentication data are deleted from active systems and relevant providers are instructed to delete them. Backup expiry may take additional bounded time.
Data that may remain
Limited transaction, security, fraud-prevention or legal-compliance evidence may be retained only when required or reasonably necessary, separated from active account content and retained for the applicable purpose and period.
Local data
Deleting the account does not delete original files, the local library database, positions or highlights stored on your devices. Remove those through the app or operating system if you also want to erase local data.
